The 1st International Conference on the Green Revolution for Self-Sufficient Afghanistan ends successfully.
At the closing ceremony of the conference, the Deputy Minister for Academic Affairs of the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Lutfullah Khairkhwah, expressed hope that the research and proposals presented at the conference would be implemented by the relevant organizations.
He also mentioned that universities are now involved in major and important issues and are conducting research without limitations.
The Deputy Minister of Academic Affairs called for allocating a dedicated budget for research in the national budget and gave information about upcoming conferences to be held in both Emirate and private academic institutions.
Later, the organizers of the conference shared the outcomes and recommendations of the conference, adding that these results would be shared with the relevant institutions for implementation.
The conference, organized by Kabul University and held at Kandahar National University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Afghanistan, ended with the presentation of 85 academic research articles, findings and recommendations.
It is worth noting that the articles from the First International Conference on the Green Revolution for Self-Sufficient Afghanistan have been published in Kabul University’s national journal and are available for the enthusiastic readers.
It should not be left untold that the representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the National Environmental Protection Agency, the National Food and Drug Administration and several other sectoral institutions also participated in the conference.
