These pharmacies are being constructed in seven teaching hospitals affiliated with central and provincial universities of the Ministry of Higher Education at a cost of more than 17.317 million Afghanis. The projects are currently 80% complete and are expected to be handed over for use in the near future. 
The project includes the pharmacies of Al-Biruni University Teaching Hospital, Ali-Abad and Maiwand Teaching Hospitals, as well as the teaching hospitals of Shaikh Zayed, Paktia, Nangarhar, and Herat universities, and is being closely monitored by the technical teams of the relevant directorate.
