Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and US embassy singed Memorandum of Understanding to train and prepare the equipments for faculties of journalism at Kabul and Herat Universities.

Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) and US embassy singed Memorandum of Understanding to train and prepare the equipments for faculties of journalism at Kabul and Herat Universities.

Acting minister of higher education Sarwar Danish, from the cultural department of US embassy Briem Jourj and Tamson singed this Memorandum of Understanding.
The aim of this MoU is to construct the buildings of journalism faculties of Kabul and Herat Universities, preparing the materials and equipments for Radio network, TV productivity studio, printing production, prevalence of journalism whit responsibility for future generation journalists of Afghanistan and development skills of the journalism facultids, until they be able to prepare the Radio, print and TV programs.
The total amount of this project is 5.2 millions US $ and will complete in three years. Construction of the buildings will finish till beginning the educational year of 1390 and will use journalism faculties of Kabul and Herat universities.
This MoU emphasized on training program, equipments for Radio's network, printing, TV's and Radios' production.
Acting minister of higher education, Sarwar Danish during the signature of MoU said:  through this donation the practical work will be possible for the students of journalism faculties of Kabul and Herat Universities. He added, fortunately in practical area we are ahead but not in theory and it has need more working and we are requesting to develop this kind of projects to other universities. 
Mr. Jourj the representative of cultural department of US embassy in Kabul said: the operation area of journalism is very important in Afghanistan and he committed to support the departments of journalism in other universities of the country. 
Chancellor of Kabul University Prof, Hamidullah Amin committed to support and cooperate the project.
During the signature of MoU, academic deputy minister Prof, Babury and advisor of the ministry of higher education Dr. Amiryar were present.
The journalism faculty of Kabul University has 338 students in the morning and 236 in the evening with 18 professor and lecturer. The journalism faculty of Herat University has 250 students and 7 lecturers.
It is mentionable which the MoHE tries to send the lecturers abroad for their capacity buildings.
