The Ministry of Higher Education has recently become the first government ministry in Afghanistan to be recognized as an International Computer Drivers License (ICDL) Approved Test Center by the Academy for Education Development - Higher Education Project (AED-HEP), the Afghan national licensee for the ICDL as granted by the European Computer Drivers License (ECDL) Foundation, the world-wide certifying authority for the ICDL. The ICDL is one of the world’s leading international computer skills certification programs, providing an international benchmark that Afghan citizens can use to measure and improve their computer end-user skills. By providing a testing and certification framework and an international standard that is accepted worldwide, the ICDL offers a systematic and verifiable recognition of skills for all students, schools, employers and employees.
