Nangarhar University

This university has established in 1964 with only one medical faculty. Now it is the second largest university. In the 1978 the engineering, agriculture and education faculties were added to this university. In 1994 the Literature, Economy, Law and Political Science, Veterinary and sharya faculties are also established. This university at its 9 faculties has 5971 students, that 207 of them are female students, and 298 professors with 8 female faculty members.
